Oh dear! Makes for a great photo though :)

I just can’t escape the visual of all these tiny sheep being thrown into a big hot pot. But then that is my active imaginating running away from me ;-)

They have these “Little Sheep” hot pots everywhere in HK. I ate in one and must say, the food is excellent. All the meat/seafood balls are hand made (well in HK they were) and so full of flavour. The price was so good as well.

Ahh…so it is a chain, eh? I have only recently discovered the delights of the fish ball. Do you know anywhere in Melbourne that does hand made ones? I’ve just gone with the Singaporean frozen/chilled ones (in a packet)

I don’t get it. I can’t see anything wrong with little sheep in my hotpot…or big ones for that matter.

    And only $10!

I guess little sheep are tastier than big ol’ sheep, huh? The whole fur/wool in my mouth thing creeps me out though ;-)

I took a picture of this the last time I was in chinatown too. I love that they are “little” sheep hot pots. And unlimited, at $10/pp!

  • mellie

Hmm y…I wonder how many little sheep $10 will buy you? ;-)

    Try Footscray.
There is 1 store selling meat/fish ball with around 20 varieties or so.

    Not sure which street though.
It’s a specialty shop so I guess it should be fairly noticeable

  • MarvellousMelbourne

Home made variety of course, =)!

Thanks for that marvellousmelbourne. I was in Footscray recently, but ended up eating Ethipioan followed by cannoli ;-) I did spy a few noodle places, so must make my return trip to sample them. There was also a buddhist vego place that looked rather interesting too.

In cantonese, it translates slightly differently. Huge franchise in China and pretty delicious food o.O They opened one in Box Hill recently, packed most nights. Haven’t had chance to try.

I think this is the one I ate at a long time ago. (If so, it wasn’t bad at all.)

  • Hey Kym – we never got to try it when we were in Sydney. Perhaps next time :-)
