By their own admission, the Bombom at Inkari is sweet, strong and sexy – and I’m certainly not going to argue. This double shot of espresso comes with a sunken layer of deliciously sweet condensed milk, giving one the dilemna of whether to dip your spoon in and extract a clump of milky sweetness, or to stir the whole lot around, making the short black into a kind of short sweet milky brown. Either way, there is absolutely no need for extra sweetness as this lil’ beauty will not only kick you in the pants with the caffeine, but will send you on your merry wee way with the sugar hit. A perfect kick-you-up at any time of the day.

Heh, as you well know, Michael and I love this place! It has been too long since I last had one of their spicy hot chocolates…
Hi Cindy – yes, the hot chocolates at Inkari are absolutely fantastic (especially the aztec with honey/vanilla/chillies/cinnamon).
EG and I went for breakfast the other day and had the bircher and the amaranth inkari blend cereal. They were both fantastic, and if you’re feeling like a lighter breakfast, I highly recommend it
Yay, Inkari! I love that place, the women that run it are absolute sweethearts. If you haven’t already, be sure to try their hot breakfasts, they’re wonderful! And cindy is of course spot on with the delicious spicy hot chocolate
Hey there mutemonkey – I am yet to try their hot breakfasts, but after looking at Cindy’s photos, I can’t wait to go back and try them. I just couldn’t face a big brekky the other day, hence the cereal.
Oooh I may have to go there very, very soon. What a perfect winter pick me up!
thanks for dropping by my blog!
ooohh.. im craving for hot chocs now!
pls link my website!
many thanks!
There’ve been a few times in the last year or so when I’ve lamented my inability to have caffeine, but few of them have made me this sorry to have to pass it up.
Looks and sounds divine.
Definitely hopping by for this one – the picture looks really tempting and the description is wow. And the recs of breakfasts has made me decided a trip is imminent!
Hey Mellie!
Ooh I lovvvve bonbons! A friend of mine introduced me to them in Barcelona and I became obsessed with them. I guess they’re easy enough to make at home if you have an espresso machine, but that Inkari one looks damn good!
xox Sarah
Hi truffle – and I would recommend one of the alfajores with that bombom too, thought that would be VERY decadent.
Hey ginger – done…and link added.
Hiya anna – well I’m sure they could do a decaf version
G’day mouse – yeah, I think you’ll probably like the hot breakfasts, especially after your recent posts at Ludo.
Hi sarah – ooh, Barcelona would be the place to have them!
Now that is just total coffee heaven!!!!!!!!!!!! Wow!!!!!!!!!!
Ah, so that’s what they are called?
I saw everyone in Barcelona drinking these, all the time. We watched the more mature spanish people drink them and then be totally hyper all afternoon!! I said it must keep them young, boy could they move after a couple of those bombom’s. We didn’t know what they were called!!!
I have added you to my food bogroll, cheers

Hey squishy – yes, pure unadulterated condensed milk heaven
Hi linda – yes, apparently Sarah (above) drank them in Barcelona as well. I too would be jumping off the walls after a couple of them. My poor constitution can only take a couple of coffees a day lately.
