Found this weird little treat at Greater Eastern on Russell St. It is a sweet and soft, delicious tasting (well, it says so on the pack!) potato cream maccha omelette. While the cream was obviously sweet, it was definitely potato flavoured which was a wee bit disconcerting. It felt like I was eating a squashed green tea flavoured potato twinkie.
Will definately look out for these ones. I go to the asian grocery on russell street quite often and have found some really interesting stuff there – love the red bean pancakes. I like trying all the really obscure combinations although most of them are as disgusting as expected. When the Russell Street store gets those ridiculous lines I go to the one on Heffernan Lane.

I rate the Heffernan Lane store highly – it is great for those really obscure Asian ingredients which I often like to play around with. Great Eastern on Russell is pretty good for Kit Kats and other Japanese sweeties – my main drawcard to that store
