Sometimes I just hanker for a good, honest plate of vegetables – and I always know that Gopals will give me what I’m after.
This is the Chef’s Mini Special ($12.90), a revolving choice of wholesome delights. You can get soup or rice (or half and half) – I opted for the tumeric and pea rice – the vegetable dish of the day (in this case, a moreish vegetable and tofu korma-style curry topped with cheese), “steamies” (steamed veg), a generous serve of green salad with your choice of dressing, and a drink, in this case, mango lassi. The little square of sesame carob is an optional added extra.
