Sounds good, I have walked past Yumcha Cafe several times but have never ventured in, I will give them a try next time. I have tried having Yumcha in the city but have never been satisfied by the quality and price. Dragon Boat does not have my vote, I will talk anyone out of going there. Shark Fin House is very good but very crowded, I know yumcha is meant to have that atmosphere, I do find SFH on the pricy side especially when we never ordered any "special dishes", it was $30 pp. I am a Golden Dragon Palace fan, I will recommend all my friends to go there. I live in the west but I will make a special journey just to go to bushy Templestowe. They are on average $20 - 25pp, the more people you have the cheaper it works out to be when it comes to Yumcha.

Movida has definitely been my favorite restaurant for the last 4 years.

My favorite tapas are Scallop with potato foam and Croqueta.

A while ago they used to have a Racion called Poor-man's Potatoes; I used to love that but they have taken this off their menu. :( Movida if you are reading this please consider bringing it back.

Service is atrocious-waited 20 minutes and still the waiter (who was hovering around cleaning empty tables next to us) did not take our order so we walked out. Wouldn't bother again.

Well it has been approx. 2 years since the last coment but in 2004 I had the experience of eating at this place and quite frankly I found it very bad, now let me explain I visit Jamaica at least once a year, my wife is Jamaican and trust me I love Jamaican style cooking , i found this place to be so bad I would not recomend it to any one, curry goat that was just bones, the whole dish contained so little meat, not even a soup spoon full, the cury flavour was out of a can.
If you want Jamaican flavours buy a cook book and cook it yourself. The time I was there we were entertained by a asian group trying to sing regae, I was being charged for food we did not eat and we as well sat up stairs and yes we were left there wondering when we going to be served.
The coment of scotch bonnet being hot, well it is used for the heat but more so for the flavour, if this so called lover of food knows that why did he raise such a an ill informed coment, a self informed nuff nuff that most likely has never been to Jamaica, to place such a stupid reply and if he has then never been to places outside of the major tourist areas that look after the American taste. Yes I would never go back there because it does not reflect the true Jamaica but ill informed people making ill informed coment is very bad

I know the search is for a good satay in Melbourne but I've not had any satays in Melbourne that I can honestly rave about however, Mamak in Sydney deserves to be RAVED about! Started with three guys quitting their white collar jobs, went back to Malaysia to learn to cook the authentic way...went back to Sydney and opened Mamak. The satay is not chunky but has just the right amount of meat on the stick with a little crunch from the burnt fat..the sauce given was very generous and my of my...was it good!!!! Not too thick or like running peanut butter serve at most places but the taste is full of flavour and I can't even pin point all the ingredients because it was so well blended. Hubby and I even dipped our cucumbers and red onions to try to finish the sauce after the satays were long devoured...only thing missing is the cubed rice, that would have just topped it off. There's ALWAYS a queue, even before opening times but it's well worth wait!
